Join us!

Our mission is to promote the art of modern quilting in the Dallas area. We offer educational demonstrations/workshops, swap and challenge opportunities, and charitable community outreach.

Membership is open to quilters of all skill levels and we pride ourselves in creating a positive, welcoming atmosphere for new and experienced quilters alike. We are a nonprofit organization and a branch of The Modern Quilt Guild.

BECOME A MEMBER
As a member of the Dallas Modern Quilt Guild, you’ll have access to our private, members only site! Members view detailed events on our Guild calendar, participate in discussion forums, have access to our group photo albums, and more! Members also receive first priority to attend events such as Saturday Sew, annual Retreat, and workshops.

When joining Dallas MQG, please use your full name as your Meetup ID. This helps us match check or WePay dues payments with members and it also assists us in maintaining an accurate membership roster for our 501(c)3 filings.

MONTHLY MEETINGS
Our monthly meetings are held the fourth Thursday of the month at 7pm at Ridgewood Park United Methodist Church, 6445 E Lovers Ln, Dallas, TX 75214, Dallas, TX (map) . Each meeting focuses on a new topic with a different swap, presentation, demonstration, or challenge.

SATURDAY SEW
What could be more fun than quilting with friends? We have cutting and ironing stations as well as large workspaces ready for you! Just bring your project and machine! Saturday Sews are held the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9am to 4pm.

CHARITABLE PROJECTS INITIATIVE
The hospice program at Presbyterian Plano is our charity of choice. In addition to finished lap-size quilts and quilt tops, we also accept donations of: batting, fabric, backings, and quilting services. Please contact our Community Service Chair, Chelsey Fields for more information.

ANNUAL RETREAT
Each May, August, and November, our members enjoy a little piece of heaven when they attend our annual retreat! It’s the perfect time to build camaraderie, learn from each other, and strengthen our friendships! Quilting + friendship = too much fun!!!!

It’s a perfect time to finish those UFOs [unfinished objects], special projects, and community service lap quilts. Spaces are limited and fill up quickly. DMQG members receive priority reservations. For more information on our retreat, please contact our Activities and Exchange Chairpersons, Kathy Bright

DUES
$40 annual dues cover website costs and supplies for workshops and events. Dues are payable each January. New members are invited to attend two DMQG events before becoming a dues paying member. Please pay dues by check to our Treasurer or by our Paypal link. Dues are not accepted at monthly meetings.
