Ready for a new logo?

If you've visited our sites this afternoon, you've noticed our background has reverted to gray. Why? We are eagerly awaiting the final voting on new DMQG logo! Once the winning logo is chosen, our websites will be redesigned to showcase it.

Looking forward to it!

Block Lottery ~ September 27th

Don't miss out on our block lottery at the upcoming September meeting! To participate, make one or more improvisational blocks to enter in the lottery. Links to tutorials are posted on Meetup.

Colors (as voted on by the members!):
Light Grey (Background)

Fabric used must be quilt-shop quality 100% cotton fabric.
All fabric must be solid or tone-on-tone (that reads like a solid) in the above colors.

Blocks are to be 12.5" by 12.5" unfinished.
Each block needs to contain the background color and at least one of the other colors.
Each block must be pieced.
Blocks are to be designed using improvisation. Some words to Google for ideas include modern blocks, stack and whack and wonky.

Each block you turn in at the September meeting allows you one entry to win. Number of blocks for each prize will be determined by how many blocks are turned in. We are hoping to have multiple sets to give away. You may only win once. For example, if you made four blocks you would have four chances to win. Once you win a set you will be ineligible to win another set.
